What is the difference between hospice and Death Doula services?2021-09-03T13:13:52-05:00
An individual who is dying, would benefit from both hospice and working with a death doula. Hospice is a medical oriented system that is designed to provide comfort – not treatment – for those dying. Death Doula services fill in the gap that hospice is unable to provide. The work of death doulas is to provide significant in person care and attention to details for the dying and their family.
What is the cost of Death Doula services?2021-09-03T13:14:17-05:00
Death Doula services are not generally covered by insurances yet. The dying individual or loved ones contract directly with Peace & Grace at the End LLC. Services are structured by the hour or a customized all-inclusive package. Each service we provide is unique depending on the clients’ needs such as “on call”, overnight stay, travel, and more. We are non-medical healthcare professionals who guide you but do not administer medications or make decisions for you.
Does Peace & Grace at the End, LLC provide service to just those who are actively dying?2022-02-25T09:42:25-06:00
No! We also provide service to healthy individuals who want to have “their affairs in order” and want to be prepared for the end. In addition we provide counseling services to family and friends experiencing grief after the loss of a loved one.
